Nine vertical kiosks (including one double-sided display) and two horizontal kiosks were installed in Concordia’s Webster Library. The experts at XYZ developed the units in accordance with the principles of architectural design. Each one comprises a high-performance computer, a proximity sensor, a videoconferencing camera, speakers and a touchscreen. The assembly is cased in a vandal-proof enclosure fixed to the ground with safety screws.
The result? Students now have the entire library catalogue at their fingertips! Strategically located in high-traffic areas, the kiosks double as wayfinding devices, providing useful information on current activities throughout the library.
