Description
The architects at Lupien + Matteau asked XYZ Cultural Technology to oversee the technical aspects of the project as well as the audiovisual integration. The multimedia exhibition guides visitors through the various buildings on site so they can learn more about local history. The result is an enlightening, entertaining experience that is augmented by state-of-the-art technologies without interfering with the unique charm and authenticity of this treasured landmark.
Incorporating the required technology into the house without altering its historical character was a sizeable challenge for the XYZ team. Every decision was weighed carefully to ensure the components did not detract from the appearance of the 19th-century residence.
A combination of projected video and unique audio content lets visitors explore the fascinating world of yesterday, both inside the house and various outbuildings as well as around the grounds. Touchscreen tablets, a smartphone app and an interactive table are among the elements that enhance this voyage of discovery looking back at some of the most significant moments in Magog’s history.
