Multimedia Sports Experience

Olympic Sports in the Spotlight

Canadian Olympic House

Montreal, Quebec, Canada, 2015

With the support of the different levels of government, as well as private investors, the Canadian Olympic House hosted a multimedia sports experience in which young people aged 8 to 12 could measure their abilities against great Canadian Olympic athletes.

In this preliminary version of the project, which will eventually include eight stations, future Olympians could experience three interactive immersive environments: the start of a 100 metre race, a freestyle ski run and a fencing match. These three immersive activities are fully interactive and produce actual technical data describing the user’s physical performance.

This represents a unique and innovative means of evaluating new Canadian talent and, especially, of getting young people interested in Olympic sports.
