Montreal – The interactive adventure Tektonik, an XYZ Cultural Technology production, won the first prize in the category “museum production” at the Gala Numix 2017 held yesterday at the Monument National in Montreal. The Numix Gala honours excellence in digital media in Quebec. The jury granted the prize to the multimedia adventure presented at the Percé Geopark, thanks to its “innovative approach in using technologies to benefit a successful educational museum experience”.

For Cathy Poirier, president of the Geopark administrative council – who came to Montreal for the Gala – it is a pleasant surprise, but mostly, a nice way to recognize the teams’ hard work: “Here at the Geopark, we are very proud of this beautiful product that is Tektonik. We gratefully thank Jacques Larue and the whole XYZ Cultural Technology team, which made our project a must see, a major attraction in our area. I like to say we had already won, but this award definitely is a valuable addition”.
